About us

Every piece of Ireland on Silk begins with a single, fleeting breath of the Irish landscape.

As a Derry born photographer, writer, and artist, my camera is how I understand the world, but silk is how I bring it to life. From my home here in Galway, I created this brand as a love letter to the textures ,light, and soul of Ireland. My goal was simple: to bridge the worlds of fine art and everyday life, translating my evocative macro and landscape photography onto the finest silk.

Through my lens, the mist hanging over Connemara, the weathered timber of old Claddagh fishing boats, and the quiet waters of Pine Island are rescued from time. They are not merely captured; I give them a new tactile life. Leveraging my graphic design background, I transform these fleeting natural moments into enduring, wearable masterpieces.

Forget the hurried pace of modern fashion. By printing directly onto 100% mulberry silk, I create pure, sustainable luxurious heirloom pieces designed to be cherished for generations.

All our silks are 6A Grade Mulberry 16/19 momme. I have personally travelled along the old Silk Road to find the best quality silks and cashmere, the highest printing standards and top crafts workers. We only deal with companies who strictly comply with the OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100 and are Sedex SMETA audited, which verifies ethical labor standards, business ethics, and fair wages.

Each scarf, handmade tie, shawl and framed interior piece carries a narrative; a little part of Irish history and geography.

When you wear Ireland on Silk you wrap yourself in the morning mist, the ancient stories, and the enduring romance of the Irish wild that inspires me every single day.   Fiona
